Listening to Light is a new STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) that explores programming/coding, acoustics, physics, composition, and wiring/electricity — all integrated into a unified curriculum and offering hands-on engagement at every turn.
The target audience is 5th–8th grade students. Students will:
- make their own kalimbas (thumb pianos)
- make their own contact microphones
- program LED lights to react to their new microphone + instrument
